Coming Soon - Alpacas
Alpacas are gentle, fluffy, and fascinating animals — and they’ve become increasingly popular on farms, retreats, and even in wellness experiences. Here's our well-rounded intro to alpacas!

Where They're From
Alpacas are domesticated members of the camelid family, closely related to llamas, vicuñas, and guanacos. They were originally bred in South America, particularly in Peru, Bolivia, and Chile, primarily for their soft and luxurious wool.

Why Alpacas
They have incredibly soft fleece - Alpaca fiber is warmer, lighter, and more hypoallergenic than sheep’s wool. With a gentle temperament they’re known for being calm, curious, and social, making them ideal for small farms and therapeutic settings.

Why Alpacas
Our retreat will include alpacas because they reduce stress, just being around alpacas can be calming. Their quiet demeanor and rhythmic movements are known to ease anxiety. They’re great for mindful moments simply sitting with them in nature encourages stillness and presence — perfect for glamping and wellness retreats.

Environment
Alpacas have an extremely low environmental impact, they have soft-padded feet (instead of hooves), which are gentler on the land. They also eat efficiently and produce less methane than other livestock.
